Rushmore: The Commentary

Does any one else listen to commentaries?

I, for one, really like listening to them.

The other night, as Aarin and I were going to bed, we decided to listen to a commentary to help us fall asleep. I should have known better than that. We chose the commentary on Rushmore, which needs not mention as an awesome film. I did not fall asleep quickly. In fact, I listened to the whole commentary (for like the third time).

The Rushmore commentary is one of the best. It is very fun to listen to Wes Anderson talk about the creative process, Owen Wilson talk about how he got expelled from a school where his dad was on the board, and Jason Schwartzman tell how he complimented Bill Murray on how he "ate that carrot like a man."

Does anyone else listen to these, and if so, what are other favorites?

Hmm, we'll have to try it out. Interesting. Gnarly.

I like the commentary for Luhrman's Romeo and Juliet. But that's mostly because I'm teaching it. Still interesting, though.
